This program aims to develop competent railway signal engineers and future leaders of the profession by providing students with a well-rounded knowledge base, generic engineering competencies development, and work integrated exercises to enhance candidate's ability to apply their knowledge and skills in locally relevant practices. The program incorporates project-based and work-integrated learning, and is supported by a network of senior members of the profession acting as work-based mentors. Successful completion of the first three courses will lead to the award of a Graduate Certificate. Successful completion of all courses will lead to the award of a Graduate Diploma. The program aims to become established as an alternative to the traditional IRSE examinations The Graduate Diploma has been recognised by the IRSE Council as an appropriate equivalent qualification for the purposes of membership.
